MEN'S OLYMPIC ICE HOCKEY

Tournament Results Since 1920 (Belgium Summer Games)

Notes:

  • The Soviet Union did not enter a team until 1956.

  • Canada did not enter a team in 1972 or 1976.

  • NHL players did not participate in Olympic hockey until 1998, also did not participate in the 2018 Games in South Korea.

  • CIS is the Commonwealth of Independent States, the name taken by the Soviet Union team in 1992, after the USSR broke up the previous year, better known as the Unified Team.

  • Because of the IOC's suspension to Russia due to the Russian Doping Scandal, Russian athletes were designated in the 2018 games as OAR (Olympic Athletes from Russia) and later ROC (Russian Olympic Committee) for the 2022 Games.
